A note from the founder.

I started Wōra because I was tired of furniture that pretends.

Pieces that look like wood but aren't. Veneers glued onto MDF. Photos that hide more than they show. In Cairo, where craftsmanship has always lived in the workshops behind the streets, I wanted to build something that didn't need to pretend — solid wood, made by hand, made to last longer than the room it sits in.

Every piece you see on this site is built in our workshop in Cairo, by craftsmen we work with directly. No middlemen. No factory line. If you have a question about a piece — the wood, the finish, the dimensions, anything — message us on WhatsApp. We answer personally.

بدأت ووَرا لأني تعبت من الأثاث اللي بيدّعي.

قطع شكلها خشب و هي مش خشب. قشرة ملصوقة على MDF. صور بتخبي أكتر مما بتورّي. في القاهرة، اللي الحرفة فيها عمرها كانت في الورش وراء الشوارع، حبينا نعمل حاجة ما تحتاجش تدّعي — خشب صلب، شغل يد، يفضل عايش أطول من الأوضة اللي محطوط فيها.

كل قطعة بتشوفها في الموقع ده، بتتعمل في ورشتنا في القاهرة، عند صنايعية بنشتغل معاهم بنفسنا. مفيش وسيط. مفيش خط إنتاج. لو عندك أي سؤال عن قطعة — الخشب، اللمسة، المقاسات، أي حاجة — كلمنا على واتساب. إحنا بنفسنا بنجاوب.
